Public Concerts



Sonology avails itself of the Conservatoire’s two excellent concert halls for its regular concert presentations, featuring works by students, faculty members, guest artists and classics from the electroacoustic music repertoire, as well as performances by the Sonology Electroacoustic Ensemble, an improvisation group that combines acoustic and electronic instruments with live sound processing.

The dates for the 2016–2017 academic year are:

8 September 2016, 19:30, Arnold Schoenbergzaal: First year Festival concert: An Introduction to the Fascinating World of Sonology.

5 October  2016, 19:30, Arnold Schoenbergzaal: A Concert for Gottfried Michael Koenig's 90th Birthday. In collabotation with the Konrad Boehmer Foundation.

12 October 2016, 19:30, Kees van Baarenzaal: Sonology Discussion Concert 1.

28 October 2016, 19:30, Arnold Schoenbergzaal: Workshop presentation by the Sonology Electroacoustic Ensemble and final exam works by Aslakur Ingvarsson and Adam Juraszek.

30 November 2016, 19:30, Arnold Schoenbergzaal: Sonology Discussion Concert 2.

8–10 December 2016, 19:30, Arnold Schoenbergzaal: Symposium Historically Informed Performance of Electronic Music, with compositions by Luciano Berio, Konrad Boehmer, Jan Boerman, Pierre Boulez, Brian Ferneyhough, Gottfried Michael Koenig, Helmut Lachenmann, György Ligeti, Luigi Nono and Karlheinz Stockhausen.
